		<description>It is a great challenge you lay down. I believe some banal content will have patterns which can be identified - you see examples of these patterns (defined by terms that indicate unwarranted sarcasm, over-the-top outrage or use of cliches) in the comments of slashdot and digg.

Other forms of banality will be harder to identify because they rely on the context of experience that people store in volumes exceeding that of modern storage devices.</description>

		<description>If Twitter were adopted into the mainstream, one could imagine a handful of anciallary services to filter out the noise of Twitter. I guess there are technology opportunities for filtering out banal chatter both offline and online :)</description>
